With this week’s Fed pause, inflation has been in the news. And yes, discussing inflation, we usually focus on its typical causes. In class, I name cost push, demand pull, and some unitary cause. Or, like Milton Friedman, we say it is purely a monetary phenomenon. But now we have an entirely different reason that is described in this article. According to economists at Danske Bank, we should blame Beyoncé for Sweden’s elevated inflation rate. Do take a look.
