I am not sure if I will read the new Walter Isaacson Elon Musk biography. However, I have really enjoyed reading the reviews. Summarizing the contradictions conveyed by so brilliant and powerful a man, the book reviews were a shortcut. Reading several pages in The New Yorker Magazine, WSJ, the NY Times, and The Washington Post, I pondered the debate that surrounds him. I thought about the power he wields in the Ukraine War and the potential his technology brings. As a former history teacher, I wondered if his brains echoed Thomas Edison and his money, John D. Rockefeller. Most of all, we have lots to consider about how to encourage and constrain people like him.
