While Argentina’s recent election grabbed our attention, turmoil has always characterized their economy. As a result, I was especially interested in a podcast on Argentina’s sovereign debt. This Slate Money podcast explained Argentina’s exceptional bond history. As a repeat defaulter, they’ve been able to sidestep their debts. However, one group of bondholders refused to let Argentina follow its traditional path. The podcast tells the firsthand 16-year story of the court battle against Argentina. As a tale that could repeat itself, the podcast is especially relevant.
