For my newest book (to be published July, 2023–a light-hearted look at economics), I am currently writing a chapter on globalization. As a part of my research I discovered this NY Times article. Written by David Brooks, with considerable detail and insight, it takes us to why and how globalization is ending. Instead we are winding up with the U.S. as an outlier and a new national alignment of “friendships” and trade agreements.
