If you like a great murder mystery and enjoyed Andy Weir’s The Martian, drop everything and start reading (or listening to) The Apollo Murders. Written by Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, the book is superb. It tells the story of Apollo 18, a flight that actually never took place but it does in the book.
And wow.
We have a U.S. Apollo flight, a murder, a female Russian cosmonaut, an appealing protagonist in Mission Control, and a bit of romance. To all of this we can add the descriptions of being in space that the author knew firsthand.
