Needing a good book’s diversion, I’ve begun reading Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy. With the recommendations coming from a slew of dependable sources, I can say that so far they were right. The book starts with a rescue on an isolated island. Reflecting its Antarctic location, the island is coping with frigid temperatures and rising waters. The story further grabbed me because the protagonists have to protect a seed bank. Populated by the flora the world wants them to guarantee, the seed bank brings a dramatic theme when it too is endangered. Then, to all of this, I can add the mystery, romance, and twists that the reviews say are coming soon.
There is lots to look forward to.
