Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day) I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you.
I like to think of them as my e-links.
Friday’s e-links 8/23/24
With just 74 days until the U.S presidential election, I wanted to recommend two articles that provide insight about the big issues. For inflation, a Project Syndicate article helps us differentiate between the price level and inflation. Knowing the difference, we can recognize the progress the Fed has made and not feel so bad about prices. Although this article pre-dates Kamala Harris’s ascent, the analysis is timeless. Then, in our second article, a Boston University economist explains the impact and complexities of immigration. He digs into the topic with facts that show the benefits far outweigh the cost. However, we also see a downside.
These e-links initiate a major issues series that we will return to during most Fridays before the election.
