Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day) I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you.

Friday’s e-links 1/26/24
Starting my research for a new book, I have been slogging through a factually and idea dense superlative 587-page tome from 2016. I’ve been reading a Yale professor’s history of money and finance. Like none other, it explains the financial foundation of civilizations. So far, I’ve learned about ancient societies and seen, for example, that whether looking at the invention of writing or dynastic power, finance played a role. Now, I’ve gotten up to the chapters on China. At the moment, Professor Goetzmann has me pondering why the Industrial Revolution did not happen in China. I look forward to his answers.
