Starting my research for a new book, I have been slogging through a factually and idea dense superlative 587-page tome from 2016. I’ve been reading a Yale professor’s history of money and finance. Now, I’ve gotten up to the chapters on China. At the moment, Professor Goetzmann has me pondering why the Industrial Revolution did not happen in China. I look forward to his answers.
