Starting with his New Yorker Magazine article in 2011, Malcolm Gladwell has been explaining why college ranking reports are more an inaccurate art than a quantitative science. Now, in a recent RH (Revisionist History) podcast, he continues to demonstrate why, specifically, we should question the U.S. News & World Report’s results. Furthermore, it was so interesting that Columbia just temporarily dropped out of their ranking. (When Reed College refused to participate, rather “mystically,” its rank plunged.)
