When the Never-Ending Cruise Stopped
October 30, 2026Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day), I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you. These are my e-links.

A recent Outside/In podcast from New Hampshire Public Radio had a great title: “Why these food safety experts will eat rare steak, but not buffet fruit salad.” Immediately I decided to listen. And, I was not disappointed. They started the podcast telling us when we can eat the tuna sandwich in our backpack. Questions also included the frozen ham in a freezer since 1992. Then, they looked at sour milk, the inside of a rare steak, and buffet fruit salad. In addition, they reminded us of last summer’s recalled lettuce and what they would and would not buy. Summarizing what to be careful of, they told us that temperature, time, and pH let us predict food safety. It was an interesting discussion from the experts…So interesting that I plan to listen to their podcast, “Risky or Not Risky.”
