A Surprising Way to Boost Economic Growth
June 19, 2026Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day) I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you. These are my e-links.

This week, I recommend another episode of the Acquired podcast. I have increasingly found my usual podcasts are getting stale. For that reason, I’ve especially been enjoying the story of Vanguard. More than the history of an index fund, it is about an entrepreneur and investing. The entrepreneur is Jack Bogle, a man who started with his thesis at Princeton and wound up using it to revolutionize Wall Street. Meanwhile, explaining how we used to pay a slew of fees that Bogle’s innovation eliminated, the podcast further digs into the significance of the index fund. Through Bogle’s career, we get a history of Wall Street and an investing primer. I also appreciate the rhythm and spirit of the two podcast narrators. Together, their three-hour stories and their delivery tell more than what I typically listen to.
