December 2022 Friday’s e-links: Two Very Different Film Suggestions

Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day) I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you.

As different as two recommendations can be, this week I suggest a happy show on Apple TV and unsettling inspiration on Netflix. My first pick is the Tony winning Broadway play, Come From Away, Come From Away recreates the Gander response to 9/11. It is a feel good musical that describes how the people of Gander mobilized to house and feed 6,579 unexpected guests. Next The Swimmers is not feel good. Based on a true story, The Swimmers tells of two teenage Syrian sisters that leave their homeland on an unimaginable journey to Germany and beyond.
