When the handle snapped off a 125 pound cooler, lobsterman John Aldrich careened overboard. The Daily Podcast told the riveting story of how his boots saved him.

Friday’s e-links (8/07)

More than any other, a podcast from the NY Times Daily on female rage stuck with me  far beyond the morning walk when I heard it. The best part (and most of the podcast) was an essay that Julie Whelan read on how people perceive and experience a woman’s anger.
