The Town Without Traffic Lights
August 21, 2026Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day), I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you. These are my e-links.

The best podcast I’ve listened to this week explained El Niño. As a typical Odd Lots episode, it did a deep dive into one topic. For El Niño, that meant spending close to one hour on a detailed description of what it is and its impact. Through an interview with a Dartmouth college professor, they covered forecasting, locations, history, and El Niño’s economic toll. Listeners also learned about surface water temperatures, global warming, and how we might adapt. As a whole, their discussion clearly conveyed why this year’s El Niño would be a record setter.
