Today I would like to link to the past. Having hit 503 instead of 603 on my (Verizon) remote, I accidentally started to watch All in the Family. Dating back to the 1970s, All in the Family was a norm breaking sitcom. Making fun of its protagonist’s (Carroll O’Connor) prejudices and his son-in-law’s (Rob Reiner) liberalism, the sitcom was funny and serious. After that, I’ve intentionally returned to 503 and revisited Mash, the Korean War sitcom. Like All in the Family, as you surely know, it was serious and funny. Then, my last sitcom, not on 503 but a Comedy Central series, is The Office.
