If you like murder mysteries (as do I), a new Anthony Horowitz novel is a cause for joy. In the past, I’ve devoured his Inspector Hawthorne books. A second series, about the editor Susan Ryeland, takes us inside her novels as well as her life’s entanglements. As with Magpie Murders, in Marble Hall Murders, we have two stories. Their clever intersection kept me returning and wondering and guessing. As I look forward to a summer of writing, books like Marble Hall Murders will be my treats. Happily also, I’ve just discovered we can watch the Ryeland books on Amazon Prime (and elsewhere).
