Friday’s e-links 9/13/24
A NY Times article on the power clash between Bob Eiger and Bob Chapek was phenomenal. Juicy and yet scholarly, it told us about Disney, power, and corporate structure. Because of its more than 12,000 (or so) words and the quality of its writers–James B. Stewart and Brooks Barnes–the article told all we could want to know about why Iger left and then was able to maneuver a return. Ranging from creative decisions to the people on the Disney board, the stories and facts took us inside what is not quite a “Magic Kingdom.” We meet people and overhear their conversations. And we see what is behind the films we enjoy.
