Curious about Xi Jinping, I just finished a ten-part podcast series that took me from his childhood to now. I was able to access the “paywalled” series through my subscription to The Economist. As a perfect diversion during my daily walks, the vignettes ranged from family, to politics, to his sleepover at an Iowa farm. About power, people, and personality, this taste of China’s history was excellent. Although the podcasts focused on the past, their wisdom was contemporary.
