December 2023 Friday e-links: A Podcast Recommendation

Every once in a while, (and sometimes each day) I listen to a great podcast, enjoy an article, or see a good video that I want to share with you.

This week, I discovered a new podcast series. Called The Global Story, it is produced by the BBC and has all their traditional quality. Because The Global Story focuses on one event during each podcast, it tells us what actually happens. Instead of just saying China has ghost cities we meet the people that live in one. From there, we learn about the company that built it. Then finally, we arrive at the entire Chinese economy. In one podcast, it was ideal to move from the specific example to the bigger issues. I plan to become a regular listener.
